Spring is here! Over the last few months, our community has been working to create a food and flower garden in our courtyard environment. Local businesses donated materials and parent volunteers built and installed raised beds. The children completed the project by planting veggies, herbs, and flowers (with the guidance of Ramona, our wonderful after-care assistant). Now they are starting to see the fruits of their labor, as their crops are up and ready for thinning!
Three generous local businesses made the project possible through their donations of soil, lumber, and seeds and starts, respectively: Highway Fuel Co., Withers Lumber, and Portland Nursery. Huge thanks to them for their support of our community! Thanks also to our parent volunteers, and Ramona!
